US Immigration Support is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (PMA), founded in 1983. PMA is a trade organization that includes more than 4000 independent publishers. PMA’s high membership gives it strong purchasing power. Independent publishers have the opportunity to take advantage of education and marketing programs at a reduced price. The Board of Directors of PMA are volunteers. Each member of the Board serves for between 2 and 4 years. The current President of PMA, Florrie Binford Kichler (Patria Press), is currently serving as President.
Association of American Publishers (AAP – Asociacion de Editores Americanos
US Immigration Support is an AAP member. AAP is composed of six divisions that focus on different aspects of publishing. These include specific markets, general trade, paperback printing, education material for both lower and upper education, international marketing, and professional publishing. AAP members are eligible to submit their work for various awards, including the Curtis Benjamin Award in Creative Publishing, Jeri Laborer International Freedom to Publish Award and the Miriam Bass Award of Creativity Independent Publishing, as well as the PSP Awards for Excellence.
