General Information about the Work Visa: Are you looking to travel to the United States, but aren't sure what visa you will need? There are many visa options available for different jobs, so it can be difficult to understand the work visa requirements. Individuals who wish to work in the United States should first apply for and be approved for a work visa. Non-immigrant visas for work visas can only be used for a limited time. Most work visas are easily renewed. Many US employers sponsor their foreign workers so that they can get a Green Card. Getting a U.S. work visa does not automatically lead to a Green Card or US Citizenship.

Work Visa Eligibility Conditions:

Each work visa requires different qualifications that the applicant must meet. An H-1B visa requires that the applicant has a special occupation and higher education. The H-2B visa can be used for seasonal jobs where the US is in low demand. The majority of work visas have an annual limit. The US Work Visa Application Guide explains the different types of work visas that are available.

Additional information about the Work Visa

The visa holder can work in the United States and obtain a driver’s license, state ID, a bank account, a card, a house, and other rights. With a valid visa, the worker can travel within and outside the United States. A visa can be granted to the spouse or children of the principal applicant. They are not permitted to work. Visa holders are required to keep their original passports. Naturalized citizens can only obtain a United States passport.
